Mario Paintings 2005
These are the my paintings from last years I Am 8-Bit art show at Gallery 1988. As you can obviously see, I was still painfully trying to learn how to paint. I'm glad I got a little better since then or these would have been the only Gabe Swarr paintings the world would have ever seen!
Why Mario you ask? Anyone that knows me knows that I like that puny plumber (just a little)...
I even got me one of these!
There is one more GIANT painting I did for the closing party of the show. I'll post that one soon enough!

I sooo miss painting. I've been saying "I'm gonna get some gouache and board and start painting" for ten years and it never happens. Maybe now that I have both income for the raw materials and space to do it in it will.
Love the Mario!
Why don't you paint Sonic the Hedgehog? He's so very handsome.
Fan-freaking-tastic!

I'm glad to see you having a blog. I love the pictures. They're awesome.
Wow - awesome Super Mario toys collection! Great to see you started a blog - can't wait to see what you post next!
It's the most famous game ever and is very easy too, the player gains points by defeating multiple enemies consecutively and can participate in a bonus round to gain more points, I love when I get points! yet all, the enemies are defeated by kicking them over once they have been flipped on their back. This is accomplished by hitting the platform the enemy is on directly beneath them. 23jj
