Hanna Barbera Doodles

Sorry for the lack of posts. I took a little break from painting to do some other projects. I'll announce more soon...

I was watching the Huckleberry Hound DVD the other day and just had to do a couple doodles. Does anyone even remeber these charcters or like them?

I love Huckleberry Hound, I think he's my favorite HB character...who's yours?

Killer post-its, Gabe. Especially the wobbly BooBoo. Heh heh.

That's ironic...I just bought that same boxset (plus the Yogi boxset too).Huck is great, but I think I dig Yogi more. There's this one episode on Disc 01 that I really liked, where Yogi's trying to get by a dog to get to a blueberry pie. It must have been before they nailed Yogi's character down because he's got some really fun poses and expressions. I think I preferred him with the mask part of the snout.

Can't say I can get into Pixie and Dixie at all. Although the episode where one them learns to fly by flapping their ears has some cool backgrounds.

The "my darlin'" postit is gigglesome!

The HB characters really all just blend together into a mishmash of Ed Benedict angles-versus-curves-with-a-collar-to-separate-the-head design to me. Or into a mishmash of Iwato Takamoto blandness. I don't think I have anything like a favorite.

But on the other hand I did doodle out this weird Penelope Pitstop/Tom Slick thing recently, so I dunno, really.

These are great Mr. Swarr! It would be cool to see a show like Remixing the Magic or I am 8-bit with the H-B characters. I picked up both of those box sets and I can't decide who I like better. It's definitely between Huck, Yogi, and Fred Flintstone.

I love a lot of cartoons made by Hanna Barbera for example Dexter's Laboratory and A Pup Named Scooby-Doo,so I think that the cartoons made by this American animation studio are the best ones in the world!22d2d
