Have you ever seen someone like this in a restaurant?! I did, and he inspired this painting! He wasn't eating a whole fish though... (I made that part up)

I knew someone who ate a sea creature head and all...I don't know what it was, though. A sea-bug with big eyes and lots of legs. I love your paintings! I think the potato deserves to be immortalized in one of your masterpieces!
Yup. The fish cheeks are a delicacy, just peel off the skin and don't eat the gills. :)

I've been served a whole fish before, although I don't quite remember under what circumstances. I think I was in Chicago... some jive-ass Thai place on Division?? I ordered pretending I knew exactly what I was going to get, when really I had no idea. Soon the whole thing showed up, though, head to tail! Very crispy, very fishy. The eye socket kept staring at me, which filled me to the brim with equal measures of guilt and disgust.
Then I remembered this postcard I had of a Paul Klee painting with a pink fish on a blue plate. That gave me the strength to go ahead and eat the stanky feller with little remorse. Today when I'm unsure if something's worth chewing up and swallowing,
I recite this little saying all the dweeby trendoids in the Chicago Art Scene use:
If it smells like Renoir, sit at the bar;
if it looks like Klee, it must be okay.
Anyway, Gabe, your blog is cool.
Yeah, this one's my favorite too (although the bunny-inspired carrot painting was damn awesome too) Love this guy's head shape...and that fish! Awesome stuff, Gabe!

Crap. I was going to write that this is my favorite one yet and Anna's comment says the exact same thing. Now I'm plain speechless.
I saw a guy like this in a Chinese buffet place I went to, and he started eating the raw food without getting it cooked! His wife soon showed up and stopped him, though XD
